Exposed! Boris deceives public about the annual £3.5m costs for £175m Garden Bridge

Boris Johnson has revealed himself to be a man not to be trusted; it appears he lied about whether the public sector would act as guarantor for the £175m Garden Bridge.
In a live broadcast on LBC radio*, a Waterloo resident and TCOS member pressed Mr Johnson to clarify his position about the £3.5m maintenance costs per year if the Garden Bridge trust fails in its obligation. The mayor attempted to waffle his way around the issue but finally admitted that “The maintenance costs will not be borne by the public sector”.
However in a letter to the Garden Bridge Trust from the Greater London Authority, it appears that “the Mayor has agreed in principle to provide such a guarantee” and is “fully supportive” of the Garden Bridge Trust headed by Joanna Lumley who has admitted to knowing Boris Johnson since he was four.
This makes a complete mockery of the project from start to finish – which we hope will be soon. How much longer can public money be wasted on a project that should never have got off the ground? It should be stopped right now. Please help us to fight this by supporting the legal challenge here: everyclick.com/tcos. This is the ONLY way to stop this vanity project and to release funds for much needed projects elsewhere.
