1. LAND - The site belongs to Lambeth Council and is leased to Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB); help persuade them not to sell or lease the open public space currently enjoyed for free, 24/7. Join us at Lambeth Town Hall on Wednesday 22nd July at 7pm (doors open 1845) to present a petition of 1000s of signatures to a meeting of all 63 borough councillors.
2. MONEY - without funding, the bridge cannot be built. Help persuade corporations, public and private donors NOT to fund this vanity project. Write to chief executives of the corporations or foundations who have pledged support so far (see companies/organisations below*) to warn them of this controversial financial burden, or become a shareholder and raise the issue at their AGM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mPgsl0lmM8 Tell them it’s unethical http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/may/02/green-groups-condemn-glencore-involvement-in-garden-bridge Remind them of the reputational damage to their company of being associated with an unpopular and expensive white elephant which would be reliant on public funds to cover astronomical running costs. http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2015/may/30/garden-bridge-lumley-backlash-london?CMP=share_btn_tw
3. PLANNING - there are 46 conditions that have to be met before the bridge can be built, many of which will have to be decided by the planning committee of Lambeth Council. The Garden Bridge Trust is currently consulting on these before submitting applications in the autumn. We will publish information on each condition in the autumn. Write to us for a full list –email@example.com and raise your concerns and objections to the planning committee at Lambeth Council: firstname.lastname@example.org. Without approval, the bridge cannot be built.
4. LAW - the dubious decisions of London mayor Boris Johnson or councils, can be challenged in the High Court. Boris is proposing a huge public subsidy worth up to £150m by underwriting the £3.5m annual maintenance costs of the bridge. This would be irrational given that the strategic analysis on which his support relies argues that the project is better than alternative options since it would not involve public funding! When he reveals the financial instrument/method which he will use to provide the public funding subsidy we will support a challenge to the mayor in the High Court. However we need your help to do this: we’ve raised £20k so far but it’s not enough. Please help us raise funds here www.everyclick.com/tcos or text TCOS44 together with your donation amount to 70070. Select gift aid if you can.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE GARDEN BRIDGE
We are dedicated to saving public space on the South Bank and over the River Thames. The controversial Garden Bridge is not needed here, it would destroy protected views and is democratically and environmentally damaging. Help us stop this now.
