Coin Street Cooperative residents unanimously reject Garden Bridge

Coin Street Cooperative Housing residents - over 220 households - sent a joint letter to Cllr Jack Hopkins, Lambeth's Cabinet Member for Jobs and Growth on Tuesday 22nd March, asking him to say no to the Garden Bridge. However their own landlord Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB), have ignored their pleas when ironically they fought hard for the community in the 1980s to save that piece of land so that it might be "dedicated to public use" - in perpetuity.
CSCB's Chief Executive Iain Tuckett has presided over CSCB for over 30 years and has personally been involved with the Garden Bridge idea since Joanna Lumley approached him in 2002. Other CSCB board members have been mysteriously quiet but it is questionable what their role is if they are elected to represent the community, and that community unanimously says NO to the Garden Bridge. There appears to be no democracy in this group whose leaders seem to have lost their moral compass.
