Time to pull the plug on the Garden Bridge as Charity Commission investigates further

LBC Radio reports this morning that the Garden Bridge is on a "life-support" machine with costs of half a million pounds a month being haemorrhaged from public funds as the project continues to drag on. Reporter Theo Usherwood reveals that almost all of the Garden Bridge donors would not pay a penny until construction begins. This would explain the desperation of the Garden Bridge Trust (GBT) to get a spade into the ground so that reputable charities and corporations will be handcuffed to the white elephant to whom they've pledged millions.
Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey spoke out strongly against the Garden Bridge in an Adjournment Debate in parliament last week (7.9.16 FWD 18:30) and told LBC today that no one wants to be "the boy who points the finger at the emperor's new clothes".
And it transpires that Citi bank is the only donor who would be foolhardy enough to sink its investors' funds into the bridge before construction has even begun. This may have something to do with the Garden Bridge chair Lord Davies of Abersoch being a former banker and Managing Director of Citi so we encourage any Citi customer/investor to call for the bank to pull out of supporting the troubled bridge.
Meanwhile the Charity Commission continues its investigation into a TCOS supporter's complaint about the dubious practices of the GBT. We urge anyone who is concerned that genuine charitable trusts such as the ones in this document, to contact the trusts or organisations directly, and warn them about the toxicity of the Garden Bridge.
