Once more unto the Garden Bridge breach...

This week, Will Hurst from the Architect's Journal reported that the Garden Bridge Trustees (GBT) had very probably breached their legal duties as part of the controversial charity, according to Jason Coppel QC. This comes after Andrew Gwynne MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, demanded to know "why the project was allowed to spiral out of control" in May.
This latest revelation has renewed interest in the controversial project and highlighted how many pleas for a full investigation to the Public Accounts Committee and the Charity Commission, have been largely ignored despite £46.7m of public funds being frittered away by the GBT and Transport for London (TfL).
There are clear examples of reckless behaviour that led to the public paying for the failed vanity project of Boris Johnson and his crony friends who included Joanna Lumley, Thomas Heatherwick (who pocketed around £3m), Iain Tuckett of Coin Street 'Community' Builders and Lord Mervyn Davies. Transport for London and the GBT awarded a construction contract despite trustees being fully aware that many crucial conditions in the planning permission had not been fulfilled.
Please write to your MP wherever you live, and demand that the Garden Bridge Trustees be brought to account for the missing £46 million of public money wasted on Emperor Johnson's New Clothes www.writetothem.com. This scandal is often compared to the Kids Company fiasco which was publicly scrutinised by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) after they similarly squandered millions of pounds of public funds to the point of brinksmanship, whilst being supported by the “privileged few” at the very top in government.
Ask why on earth isn’t the PAC , the Charity Commission or the Metropolitan Police, doing their utmost to bring Garden Bridge key players to account - and to make other GB trustees pay back our money?
